For a long time, you've heard me singing the praises of Portland--a city I loved once from afar, then from the road on tour stops, and now from the porch of my very own Portland house. I loved it so much I named a record after one of its neighborhoods, Felony Flats (a longer commitment than most marriages these days)!
I'm not the only one who loves Portland. Portlanders are so enamored with their city, they have a million pet names for it: Bridgetown, Stumptown, The City of Roses, Portlandia, and my favorite, the airport code: PDX.
When I first got here, I would sign emails, "..from Portland with love," which evolved into "xoxo from pdx" which evolved into "pdxoxo."
Over the past few years of being a full-time musician and spending most of that time opening or doing main support slots on bills...
