"I love my career. I love my job. I couldn't have picked a better job. This job picked me, and I answered the call..." --Steve Poltz
I'm very happy to announce one of my favorite interviews to date with dear friend, troubadour, award winning singer-songwriter, and world traveller, STEVE POLTZ. After an organic, grass-fed, eco-friendly, locally-harvested, Portlandy lunch & some strong Stumptown coffee, Steve and I had an unforgettable conversation for the AM Radio podcast. In it, Steve talks about his dream of making the basketball team as a kid growing up in Palm Springs, writing with Jewel, Poltz-erizing a song, still seeking his mother's approval at the age of 52, and writing from the point of view of the guy who dies in a Johnny Cash song (and that's just part 1!). He also discusses staying happy and healthy on the road, addiction, the mile markers of life, and he performs a song from new album Noineen Noiny Noin. Suffice it to say, I laughed and I cried. Thanks, Steve!
The AM Radio Podcast will soon be on iTunes. Until then, stream or download here:
